Hotel rooms for GASPcon

Here is the lowdown on hotels rooms for GASPcon.

First, the bad news.
1. Because of the home Steelers game that weekend, the hotel WILL sell-out of their rooms.
2. Unless we (ie GASP) are willing to guarantee (ie pay for even if they don't get sold) 10 rooms, they won't give us a block of rooms at a discounted price. This isn't an option right now.
3. As of today, there are only 80 rooms left. That isn't a lot considering that weekend is still 4 months away.

Now, the good news.
1. Call 412-922-7070 x153 and ask for Katie (she is there Mon, Wed, and Fri), let her know you are with GASP, and she will try and work out a room discount for you.
2. If you want to reserve a room for the weekend, I STRONGLY encourage you to call VERY SOON.
3. The sooner you call, the better your chance of getting a discounted room. In the past, the rate for GASPcon has been $99. Regular rates vary from $120 to $150

Again, the hotel will sell-out of all of their rooms for the weekend, so reserve one ASAP.

If we end up with 10+ rooms, I can probably go back to Katie and request all the rooms for $99. Don't count on this, but I can ask.

If you do get a room for the weekend, please post here that you reserved a room, and what the rate is you were given. This will help me if we go back and request a rate adjustment for everyone.
